RBC Royal Bank of Canada yesterday made a donation to Crime Stoppers Antigua as part of its continued campaign to give back to the community. Kathie Antonio, Account Officer together with Robin Shaw, Country Manager for Antigua and Montserrat handed over a cheque to Crime Stoppers Antigua Chairman Neil Forrester at a short ceremony at the bank 's headquarters on High & Market Streets .

Antigua and Barbuda Sports Fishing Tournament makes donation to Crime Stoppers
On Sunday evening 31st May, Sergeant Lawrence Clarke was invited to receive a cheque from the Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Club. The money was raised as part of the entrance fees at the launch party for this year's tournament, held at Life Bar and Grill in English Harbour. Chairman Phillip Shoul handed over the cheque during the 43rd Annual Antigua and Barbuda Sports Fishing Tournament which ended in an awards ceremony on Monday night, in Nelson’s Dockyard.

Crime of the Week

Week Commencing Monday 23rd August

This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving the following crimes;

The police are conducting investigation into the discovery of a body of a Rastafarian male believed to be in his late 30’s early 40’s, found floating in the waters off Devil’s Bridge about 9:30am on 23.8.10. The police have not yet been able to identify the body which in its early stages of decomposition. However, the police are not ruling out foul play until a full investigation is carried out into the matter and a post mortem examination is conducted to determine the cause of death.

The police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in Bendals at about 12:30 p.m on Saturday 21st August,  dead is 34 years old Rondel George of Sir Vivian Richards Street a Guyanese national who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body, meanwhile two persons are at the M.S.J.M.C. nursing gunshot wound to their hip and ankle. This murder has brought the total to four for the year.

If you have any information on this crime or on any other crimes committed in Antigua and Barbuda call crime stoppers at 800-TIPS that is 800-8477.

You could receive a reward up to US $2000.00 if your information leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
